The Atlas is a collective done by the students.

Our study and project site is located in the sandy soils of the Warsaw-Berlin proglacial valley (Urstromtal). Between the wooded masses of Königsheide, the faubourg of Adlershof and the clay-rich
sediments bordering the Teltowkanal, the former Johannisthal airfield has become a protected landscape park surrounded, to the north, by industrial brownfields and, to the South, by a research center for aviation, which in recent decades has become one of the largest science and technology parks in Germany. Today, this site is subjected to the physical and functional densification
and diversification measures that Berlin’s periphery is planned to undergo in order to accommodate urban growth as well as to the need to prepare its resilience in the face of climate change. These numerous, sometimes contradictory challenges involve the commitment of Land Berlin and its WISTA site management as main stakeholder, but also the student community, the creative forces of the employees, the population of inhabitants, and the multiple users of the park and actors of soil maintenance.
