The aim of this project is to create a production line and an operating system that allows the local processing of bio-waste and green waste generated on-site to create a new technogenic soil layer. This new layer will enhance the qualities of the existing soil in terms of carbon sequestration. This requires not only the creation of infrastructure but also a shift in social constructs: waste must gain value and be perceived as a resource; lifestyles need to shift towards a more locally-oriented approach in accordance with the principles of a circular economy; soils are to be seen as full-fledged actors of everyday life, as ecological factors, and as elements of urban planning. This project not only introduces new typologies to the site but is also intended to paint a picture of a new future focused on overcoming the global ecological crisis. It depicts how we can live closer to our roots, living with soils.
