Urban HorizonsMA Design Studio, SOSE 24: Tempelhof Ecologies - how not to build?

Describing the horizontal conditions of the field also implies to acknowledge multiple optical relations which allow various democratic interactions between people and the landscape. Using advanced feature recognition techniques, the project "Urban Horizons” draws a map of the amount of sky one can see in the city, as the foundation for a new law aiming at protection and an enlarged definition of the uncanny "urban horizon effect" produced by THF’s flat geomorphological conditions and absence of buildings.
